Volunteer Positions

Local Outreach Coordinator (MOST NEEDED):

Outreach coordinators will help organize read-alouds in local hospitals, schools, or libraries. Outreach coordinators may also host workshops within their communities. Read-alouds and workshops can be as formal or informal as you'd like! All materials needed for events will be created by the executive team.

Community Ambassador:

Community Ambassadors help spread our mission through hosting fundraisers and/or giving talks about our organization within their own communities. Their primary goal is to raise support and readership. If hosting fundraisers, community ambassadors must be in Washington state. Non-fundraising activities may be performed from any location.

Slush Reader:

Slush readers will help read and respond to submissions. Please visit our Idealist listing here to learn more about the volunteer position and how to apply.

Blog Writer:

Volunteer blog writers will help produce educational content for our blog including but not limited to the craft of writing, the craft of illustrating, and the influence of literature and fantasy in healthcare and young audiences.
